MEET LISA E. IRELAND

Ireland, an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than 25 years of experience in administration, fundraising, donor engagement, strategy, and finance, leads global operations for the LSF. Her career spans diverse sectors, including education, healthcare, human services, and science. Ireland’s previous roles include vice president for Institutional Advancement at the RMSC (Rochester Museum & Science Center), where she advanced the organization’s mission through strategic planning, leadership, and the formation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy. Prior to her time at the RMSC, she served as the director of Donor Relations and Stewardship at the RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), leading key initiatives to strengthen donor relationships through improved engagement, recognition, and stewardship programs. She was also executive director of United Way of Orleans County, overseeing all aspects of the organization and its 25 programs.

As the president and CEO of the LSF, Ireland prioritizes increasing public awareness, engaging new stakeholders, and expanding the community of advocates and supporters for aging science. Recognizing the vital importance of information accessibility, Ireland frequently speaks at conferences and events across the U.S. and internationally to connect with diverse audiences. Her public engagements include the February 2024 keynote address at the U.S. Library of Congress on the intersection of neural health and longevity, talks at top-tier institutions such as King’s College London and the University of Oxford, and other initiatives aimed at mobilizing greater support for healthy longevity research. In March 2024, Ireland was selected by Rochester Business Journal as a 2024 Women of Excellence honoree. The award recognizes high-achieving women for their career accomplishments, including professional experience, community involvement, leadership, and sustained commitment to mentoring. In the same month, Ireland was recognized by South Florida Business and Wealth magazine with a Prestigious Women Awards 2024, highlighting Lisa as a leader whose innovation helps drive the South Florida economy and community.

Ireland currently serves as an advisory board member for the Canandaigua National Bank and Trust, which is the only local, full-service, community-owned financial institution in the Rochester area, and as the development committee chair of Miss Julie’s School of Beauty’s board.
